You could check prices on second hand kit sites such as Kingkit, Rare Plane Detective, Mustang Hobbies to name a few. As Blackhawk says, these kits can be very desirable. I don't think you'd have much trouble moving them on.

Between 70 and 250 bucks according to the sale prices on ebay. Most commonly seem to sell about the 100-120 mark so the top price might be an outlier, someone got into a bidding war.

Which Trumpeter F4U kit is it? I'd be interested in the F4U-1D 2221 kit an a decent price

Yes its a trumpeteer f4U1-d. 1/32 scale. $50 plus freight if keen
i also have an Accurate Miniatures 1/48 sb2c-1C Helldiver - $30 plus freight
1/48 visible B17 Monogram- $60 plus freight
1/48 tamiya lancaster B mk I/III- $75 plus freight
1/48 tamiya lancaster. B III lancaster BI special.. grand slam $75 plus freight
1/48 Tamiya beaufighter.. with true detail wheel kit - $20 plus freight

i think these prices sound reasonable.. i guess someone will let me know if not!!
