WTB - 1/72 Ta 152H

Postby Zaggy » Sat Sep 21, 2019 12:32 am

Greets all... Just throwing it out there in case, as they suddenly seem a bit light on the ground, but does anyone wish to part with a Dragon or Aoshima Ta 152H or two?

If so drop me a line and we'll see of we can work something out...

Hi Dan,

Hobby HQ in Melbourne lists the Dragon kit -
https://hobbyhq.com.au/index.php?main_p ... s_id=46233

Reviews appear to favour the Aoshima kit though and it will be easier to build - I've built the Dragon 152C and if the H is similar, I'm sure the Aoshima kit will be a lot easier.

A quick search at Hannants shows they have the Kora kit (which is based on the Aoshima) and the Art Model kit (which no one seems sure if it is based on anything else).

Good luck with your search.

Cheers

Are you talking about Willy Wong's business? He is alive, kicking and selling. You just need to see the listings on his Facebook page for sales, etc. He was active yesterday posting some specials.

He did close down a while ago, but returned to Australia and reopened the shop 6 months? ago.

Ray's correct, William reopened his shop and it's been running for at least about a year.

Zaggy - Just saw 2 Dragon Ta 152H's at Hearn's Hobbies in Melb CBD at lunch time - $35 each.

Cheers

Cheers Lads,

Yeah Willy Wong is looking like the place to source them. I'd like to find the Aoshima at a reasonable price - I bought a pair (the H-0 and the H-1) from Japan (?) or something years ago, for like $15 each (when the Aussie Dollar was doing awesome), but as I am almost exclusively 1/48 these days....I gave them away to mates, thinking I'd never build them.

I've bookmarked the HobbyHQ page - might keep my eyes open for a while longer. The build is for a friend, I wont have time til the end of semester, so yeah... I am trying to skimp on the odd bit of cost ;)

But Hobby HQ is the best bet so far!

Well blow me down with a feather! When I spoke to William before he left it looked pretty permanent.

Great to have him back - thanks guys for setting the record right.

I seem to have ended up with a KORA TA 152H - a reboxed Aoshima, with a heap of resin and etch (for $35) and a plain boxed Aoshima for $30... I need to track down a replacement cowl for the second kit, as the kit cowl does not quite look right, but otherwise... I think I am sorted!

Hi Dan

After reading somewhere about the cowl, I picked up a couple of Quickboost replacements -

See here at BNA

Edit - just noticed BNA is out of stock - should be available elsewhere albeit at a higher price.

Cheers
