Looks great :). Re the swastikas: it's the way things are going these days. The other factor might be that Revell/Monogram is owned these days by Revell of Germany, where the swastika is illegal, period. Might have a bearing. Many kits these days don't include the tail swastika on Luftwaffe aircraft, or have it included in halves.

In halves! Really :?

Yea, you are probably right mate if it is banned in Germany. Incredible times we live in eh.

Looking great Thommo. I built this model in 1/72 scale years ago for my son and had the same issue with the Swastika being crosses so just added the arms with yellow paint and a toothpick.

Yeah, I've just struggled through lining up the halves on a Hobbycraft Arado. Some kits just don't have them at all but they are available on Ebay.

Exhaust streaks added with oil paint (the streaking on the Belle was pretty subtle compared to other B17s), flat coated, masks off. Somehow it looks like undercoat got inside the tail turret windows, so I might be ripping off my custom built version  , and try to clear up the thick distorted crappy kit-supplied part & re-install.

Building complete. An odd build. Some aspects of the kit are outstanding in terms of fit and detail, others complete rubbish (e.g. the tail turret transparency). Several errors in the instructions and on the decal sheet, so much double-checking is needed.

Next to build a base & stand for in-flight display.

Looks great. Never noticed that the waist guns had names before.
