Matchbox did some great kits, maybe simple and not always that accurate but great all the same. Nice builds too.

Another one for the cabinet, I really like the setting Matchbox tried to portray with this diorama, a destroyed North African building with the German Eagle.

This is the Monty's caravan I purchased last week as I found a cheap Chinese version. Funnily enough as a kid I never thought much of it because it wasn't a fighting vehicle, but looking at it now, I am drawn to the diorama and the interesting history of the vehicle.

I'm trying to create a multi coloured cobblestone effect with the busted concrete statue.

I also found another use for Tamiya's brown earth texture paint. Its actually a damn good colour and texture for rust if you just use the runny part of it

Well we've reached the end of the road for this thread. This is the final diorama. Monty's Caravan and a Daimler scout car. Looks like a meeting between Montgomery and an American general. This turned out to be a really great kit. Possibly one of the best matchbox produced. Detil is great for this scale and everything went together without any trouble.

Anyway, hope those who are reading this have enjoyed following it.

thanks

You’ve done a great job on ‘rejuvenating’ these kits. Took me back to my younger years when making kits was so easy. And quick.
Thanks for the memories.
