Paul, good going so far. With the canopy give it a polish with some car cut and polish and then dip it in some future. It may not make it look so thick and will make it clearer to see through. Alternatively see if Squadron make an aftermarket one to suit. For seat belts I find wine bottle foil is really good as it's a little thicker than normal foil. Keep up the good work.

Yet another update. This is defo a limited run kit  But I am enjoying the challenge. I can see more limited run kits in my future  Anyways this is where I'm up to so far. The fuse is together but as you can see there's a lot of filling and sanding to be done. I had to run the canopy under hot water to try to bend it into shape so it'd fit the fuse. It'll be ok I think with a bit of persuasion and using the natural elasticity of the airframe  It's been polished and had some floor polish put on it so I'll see what it looks like tomoz :D

It's update time again. I dipped the canopy in floor polish and it came up ok. I've given it another dip so we'll see what happens. I got the wings and tail on last night. Getting the wing to sit correctly was a mission. The wing to fuse gap was atrocious on both sides so a lot of sheet styrene was used to fill the bloody big holes. I've also gotta tweak the seats to get em straight. There's still plenty of filling and sanding to be done but I'm happy with how it's going so far

She's lookin good mate!!!. Not to late to make her a civil one though..... you know....for the new category :D :D .
There is a civil T-34 flying the US airshow/air race circuit in a beautiful highly polished natural metal colour scheme with big "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" titles.

It would make a great model!!!

or this

Ta Ray. The first one is a piston powered T-34A so that's out staraight away. The NASA one looks cool as well. This is definitely an Argie one though. I have enough kits to almost populate the proposed new category myself :D

Another update. I've managed to get the first coat of primer on. I'll find out tomorrow how it comes out. I've also repositioned the prop blades as when a PT6 is shutdown, the blades are feathered. They were incorrectly positioned OOB. Still enjoying this build though I'm not looking forward to the paint scheme. Remember I'm a lazy bugger LOL

Hi mate,

Great start to your T-34! I admire anyone who tackles 1/72 scale, especially the small 1/72 stuff :P

I'll be joining you in this group soon. Got a bit of work stuff that's causing a distraction to get out of the way.

And heaven forbid, the lawns are growing again! Loving the warmer weather we have been having though! :D
