Hawkeye Avro Lancaster "G for George"

Postby scotty100368 » Sat Sep 19, 2020 9:31 pm

Howdy there folks!

Military subjects are usually outside of my sphere of interest, but since we had numerous enquiries over the last year-or-so and I had access to George, plus not being a very difficult subject, I decided to give it a crack.

There are 2 sheets: 1 screen printed with most of the markings and 1 laser sheet with the upper wing walks and Mission Tally colour layer. (It was done this way to minimise production costs - multi colour screen printing is expensive!)

For the 1/48 Tamiya:

and the 1/72 Airfix/Hasegawa/Revell:

Pre-orders can be taken as Peter Mahoney has the artwork now, but there will still be a wait for final art preparation and receiving the screen prints - so please be patient!

Cheers! :D

Excellent! Thank you. No little red swastikas for the spinners?

Peter,

I did think about them initially, but seeing that they are only about an inch-or-so big in reality, scaled down to 1/72 they would just be a speck - and my eyesight isn't what it was. They may still be included in the 1/48 set - that's up to Peter M.

Scott.
