Postby AndrewDoppel » Wed Nov 18, 2020 7:28 pm

Has anyone got any black and white circular calibration markings of about 10mm that they could please mail me for an ARDU F111 project I'm trying to finish?

Please PM me if you can assist. PFI courtesy Shane Batt.

If you've got the art work I can print some for you
I'm not older than dirt, but I do remember when it was new.

Thanks everyone. My own printer has gone U/S over past couple of days so that's why I needed them printed by someone else.

Appreciated the offer David......PM inbound

I would love for one of the decal manufacturers to put together an ARDU collection. There have been a number of different versions over the years (not just for F-111s but also the other aircraft in the Unit) and many of the markings, such as the calibration markings, are not always easy to replicate or scratch build.

Cheers,

bj

Hi Brad,

There are some decals for the Mirage, PC9, PC21, UH1D/H (from memory) and CT4 in various scales. The F111 can be done in 1/72 if you can find the old Hasegawa kit otherwise some careful stenciling and decal robbing can make up the F111 in 1/48 if that's your preference.

If you look thru the gallery and members models you'll find some that have been done.

G'day Andrew,

Yep, I'm up on all of those, thanks. The ones out there, though, don't cover a lot and the Hasegawa one is very basic and pretty old now.

It's really the almost unique calibration markings that are difficult to get and are what really make the ARDU birds unique - like the F-18 in this shot and the F-111 in your opening.
