1/48 ARDU Mirage IIID colour demarkation

Postby rodenlee » Sun Feb 11, 2018 5:46 pm

Hi all

I have a shelf of doom 1/48 Mirage IIID recovery operation underway and I am seeking the demarcation lines for the white/orange ARDU scheme. I have Andrew P's pics of his beauty as a reference but there's a couple of lines that I can't quite see, in particular a plan view of the upper surface.

I know the Southern Sky ARDU history set has 4 view pics of the scheme.

I would be grateful if anyone has a nice clear reference and is willing to share.

Thanks team

Cheers

Tell me exactly what you're after and I'll have a look - it's at the front gate. I may even be able to get photos.

Some years ago the APMA Journal covered ARDU's Miracles, and the article included Dave Muir's drawings of both schemes. You should be able to get a copy via the APMA web site.
And so it was that later, as the miller told his tale,
That her face, at first just ghostly, turned a whiter shade of pale.

Thanks for your offer Rob...I think I should be able to work it out without you having to crawl all over the Gate Guardian!

And than you Dave...I'll chase that option up.

Cheers

I have the 1/72 HPM dual boxing which has both the single and 2 seater schemes, if it's any help I could scan that.

I find that you need to get in quick if you want those photos, because one day you will get to the gate and it won't be there, and you might find some sad story instead.
just saying

Me, too! It may move when the AP-3C goes on the gate. Not sure yet but I'll be looking for photos before it does!!
